Get out your posh frock - it's the Chelsea Flower Show! If you aren't one of the lucky few who bagged a ticket before they sold out, clear every evening this week to bask in the world's greatest celebration of horticulture and gardening, where new ideas about design, plants and how to grow them will fill you with inspiration.
Highlights to look out for this year include a slick contemporary design from rarely-seen wűnderkind Italian designer Tomasso del Buono, and double best-in-show winner Cleve West's evocative, atmospheric 'Paradise Garden' blending ancient Persian design with modern craftsmanship. There are plenty of new young talent snapping at their heels, too: Hugo Bugg (26) is designing a rain garden while brothers Harry and David Rich (23 and 26) are creating a garden inspired by star constellations and the night sky.
In a flower-packed Pavilion you'll find a thought-provoking commemoration of the centenary of the First World War from Birmingham City Council, plus exhibitors showing off superbly-grown plants from dainty Auricula primulas to exotic bamboos and Zantedeschia.
You'll fill your notebook with ideas, so afterwards come on down to our garden centre here in Kington. We'll have loads of Chelsea-inspired plants to help you create your own show-stopping display right outside your back door!
